“Everything we do, we do together”, says Chrys McConnell. That sentiment is apparent in the way Dave and Chrys live their lives, from the “Happy Couple” designation in their email address to their combined service to Westwood Church and the greater community.
Dave and Chrys have been part of the worship team for the Contemporary Service since it’s inception. They teach Peer Ministry and lead a small group of Senior High youth. “We get to see things through a different set of eyes,” Chrys mentions. “It brings us closer to each other and closer to God.”
“It all comes back to relationships with us,” Dave enthuses. “It’s what God wants from us, how he wires us. We are the hands and feet of God. We give what we can.”
As part of the St. Louis Park Kinship program, Chrys and Dave have been mentoring a young boy for the past three years. “We did it for him, but we get as much back.”
