Kids Against Hunger
To date, Westwood has packaged 807,000 highly nutritious meals for Kids Against Hunger and the goal for 2012 is to package an additional 100,000 meals. Food packaged will feed 275 people once a day for one year. Much of this food provides meals for the AIDS orphans who Westwood members have so generously sponsored. Meals for the AIDS orphans will be distributed by our sister congregation in Dodoma, Arusha Road Lutheran Church.In addition, we will collect non-perishable food items for our St. Louis Park neighbors in need, which will be delivered to STEP. Each year STEP assists over 8,000 households and distributes over 446,000 pounds of food in St. Louis Park.
