Westwood incorporates both traditional and contemporary styles into its worship services. The 9 AM Sunday service is traditional, 10:30 service is contemporary. The Wednesday service will be a 45-minute version of the 9 AM traditional Sunday service – casual attire. The same sermon will be preached on Sunday and the following Wednesday. Everyone is welcome to the Community Meal, which begins at 5 PM on Wednesdays.

Traditional Worship

When each day begins to feel like the day before, we invite you to join the hundreds of people who find sanctuary from the "everyday" by attending a Westwood traditional worship service held each Sunday morning.

At Westwood, traditional worship rises above the "everyday" influences so common in our homes and workplaces and is centered on the word of God and forgiveness. Worship services include the reading of Biblical texts of praise and consolation, preaching, congregational prayer, and the enthusiastic and vibrant singing of hymns.

The inspired music sung and heard in Westwood's traditional worship spans the classical traditions of the Church to contemporary songs of faith from various world cultures. The 70-voice adult A Capella choir is Westwood's primary choral ensemble; in addition, children's choirs, handbell choirs, numerous vocal and instrumental soloists, and the Westwood Wind Ensemble regularly participate in the traditional worship services.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.

Contemporary Worship

Contemporary worship at Westwood aims to communicate the life-changing message of God in Jesus Christ in a manner that reflects current cultural mediums and technology. Worship is casual and uplifting, seeking to offer teaching, music and visuals that are meaningful and inspirational.

Preaching style is culturally relevant and from the heart. Music is led by an intergenerational worship team that integrates contemporary Christian music styles.
Child and youth education is offered alongside worship. Nursery care is available for young children.

Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of every month.
