Prayer Team
Prayer Team
Westwood’s Prayer Team aim to build up the Body of Christ through prayer. Do you need prayer? Questions? Ideas?
Prayer develops our relationship with God
Can you imagine never talking with your spouse or best friend? What kind of relationship would that be? The same is true for our relationship with God. Prayer is our way of growing in that relationship.
Prayer shows our dependence on God
Through prayer we acknowledge our need for God and His involvement in our lives. We humble ourselves by going to Him in prayer.
Prayer changes things
Prayer taps into the power of God to bring change to our lives and the world around us.
Jesus prayed
In the Gospels, Jesus clearly modeled the power and importance of prayer. Throughout Scripture, we are exhorted to pray at all times, in every occasion and without ceasing.
Phone Prayer Chain, Ollie Nelson, 952-545-5452
Members of this team pray individually for people with health issues or crises, using a phone-based prayer chain to distribute new requests.
E-Prayer Team, Sandy Niewinski
This team prays for the personal needs of individuals requesting prayer via prayer@westwoodlutheran.org.
Requests are distributed via email as frequently as they arrive, but not more than twice per day.
