WESTWOOD MISSIONS - INDIVIDUALSJuly, 2007, Cause of the Month: ELCA Young Adults in Global MissionAt the end of July Eric Huseth, a member of Westwood and recent graduate of St. Olaf college left for England to serve as a volunteer lay minister for one year through the ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission program. The Young Adults in Global Mission Program provides an opportunity for global service, spiritual growth, community building, and reflection on one’s place in God’s world for young adults. As Eric’s home congregation we’ve been challenged to raise a minimum of $3500 toward the full sponsorship cost of $9040 to support this ELCA ministry. In addition to being the Cause of the Month, Eric held a recital with free will offerings for the congregation on Monday July 23rd in the sanctuary. We are blessed to consider Eric as he participates in God’s ministry in England. Erik's BlogErik has been writing about his experiences and they are at Erik's Blog.
