Youth @ Westwood Lutheran Church

Happy fall! We are so excited to have the 2008-09 program year up and running! You can expect some pretty radical things at Westood in confirmation and youth group this year.

About 2000 years ago a 32-year-old radical named Jesus asked 11 teenagers and one 20-something to follow him. They did and were called disciples — and they changed the known world.

Let's continue in that tradition and learn to walk with our teacher together.

This summer we'll be attending the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans for a great week of service, fellowship and fun!

If you've never been on a National Youth Gathering, you're really in for a treat. If you attended San Antonio in 2006, we promise this will be a fascinating and new experience for you.

Here's the tentative information:

When: July 19th-27th
Estimated cost: $900

If you're interested in going, download the information packet below. Fill it out and return it to the church office with your $75 non-refundable depost check made out to Westwood Lutheran Church!

Registration begins on September 15th. Shoot Ian an email if you're interested in going on this trip — even if you can't commit 100% by 9/15/08.
