The mission statement of Westwood’s youth ministry reflects the same mission of the church. It is based on the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20):
Westwood’s youth ministry exists to reach students in our community, to connect them through relationships with both students and adults, to help them grow in their faith, to help them serve others and dedicate their gifts by living their life with God's guidance.
Six purposes of ministry
This mission statement incorporate the six purposes of Westwood’s ministry as follows:

- Grow = Grow
- Serve = Serve
